Pastoral Care

The pastoral life in the school is based on the house system. Every student is assigned to a house. Each house has its own independent hostel supervised by a house mentor, usually a senior faculty member and a full time warden. The house mentor is assisted by a group of tutors and the warden is assisted by a group of ayahs / attendants working around the clock. The house mentor being in charge of the house oversees the all round development of the student. The Warden takes care of all matters that usually the students real mother back would. From mending clothes, laundry, casual illness, morning activities to almost until the student goes to sleep.

The senior students are encouraged to mentor the new and junior students. Any form of ragging is strongly discouraged and attracts heavy penalties. The school boasts of healthy conventions, where in the old students welcome the new batch of students with social evenings and ensure that they take on to the school life without much missing. Every student is assigned to a student mentor for the first few weeks so as to familiarize with the school infrastructure, practices and ethos.
